Gynecology is the field of medicine that deals with the functions and diseases specific to women and girls, especially those affecting the reproductive system. The female body experiences many different biological functions, including menstruation, childbirth, and menopause. Gynecologist is a doctor who specializes in women’s reproductive health, its functions and diseases, and provide care for all of this and more.
Gynecologists treat various issues related to women’s health that include menstruation, fertility issues, sexually transmitted diseases, hormone disorders, malignancies and others. They treat patients medically and perform surgery.
